Day 2815 Singapore January 1, 2012 - 14.06hrs

A new year begins - full of promises. The year is going to be what we make of each day. We had a quiet new year's eve evening, enjoying the company of Bert and Greg. We are lucky to have both of them with us this year.
We skyped Nicolas and family. It was a great way to start the new year.

Day 2657 Singapore July 27, 2011 - 21.40 hrs

Just paid a visit to my friend who had chemo yesterday. He is in good spirit and had a good chat with Nicole and me. He will have a PET scan on Monday and get the results on Tuesday. Let us pray that the chemo is working.
I am trying to control my blood pressure. I found out two months ago that my BP was high above 140. I have consulted a heart doctor who has prescribed Cozaar. I appear to have some side effects form Cozaar like stuffy nose, coughs and some swelling. I am trying alternative treatment. We shall see.

Day 2654 Singapore July 24, 2011 - 20.08 hrs

It has been a while that I have not updated the blog. Nicole had a blood test done last week and the CA markers are still within normal range. She decided not to follow Dr Karmen Wong request for a CT scan. Why have this test and have a dose of radiation when it is not necessary. This was the reason for not doing the CT scan.
It is going to be almost a year since Nicole had her second surgery. And since then, the CA markers have been within normal range.

Recently a high school friend of mine was found with a rare form of cancer. He is being treated in Singapore. Please pray for him and his family.
I just returned from Mauritius. I shall return to Mauritius soon and i hope Nicole will be able to accompany me.

I shall try to update the blog regularly.

Day 2600 Singapore May 31, 2011 9.25 hrs

We are getting ready to travel to Mauritius tomorrow. Nicole had some pain in her right arm. A check up shows that she has some mild herniated disc. She is undergoing Physio treatment.Otherwise she is doing great. Life is beautiful. We are contended and grateful. Praise the Lord.

Day 2587 Singapore May 18, 2011 20.55 hrs

Nicole is in good health. The last medical check-up done in January showed all cancer markers were within normal range. Since then Nicole has been involved in meeting friends and joining the AWA choir. The choir gave a performance on May 15 at the American club. Great singing.

Day 2511 Singapore March 3, 2011 - 21.20 hrs

We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary last week end in Chiangmai. We renewed our marriage vow.Bert and Greg were with us.

Day 2497 Singapore February 17, 2011 - 21.19 hrs

We are back in Singapore. After celebrating the Chinese New Year, Nicole had a blood test today. The results show that Nicole is cancer free. She is now cancer free since last November. We are full of joy and our first thoughts, including those of Dr Karmen Wong, are to be grateful to God. It is God's will and we are fully aware that all the treatments have been guided by the Holy Spirit. We also thank all the family members, relatives, friends and all these persons who have provided support, have prayed and have been helpin us. You all have contributed to this remission of Nicole. Thank you.
We have the joy of Bert spending a year with us in Singapore. What a blessing!
