Day 492 Singapore May 21, 2008 - 23.10 hrs

We got the blood test and X ray results today.
The X ray shows that the lungs are all clear! A great relief for both of us.
The CA markers are down by 21 and 19.2 for the CA 19.9 and 125 respectively.

May 16 April 15 March 27
CA 19.9 51.2 72.2 60.2
CA 125 25.3 44.5 26.1

This is a positive development and we thank the Lord for His Blessings.
Dr Karmen Wong recommends a follow up blood test in June. She said that this is an encouraging sign and suggested to Nicole to live fully.
We shared this good news with the family members and relatives as we both were so happy with this development.

" I will bless the LORD at all times;
praise shall be always in my mouth.
Magnify the LORD with me;
let us exalt his name together."

Day 490 Singapore May 19, 2008 - 17.06 hrs

We went to have photos of the Singapore River and temples in China town. There were many people praying at the temples we visited. Singapore is celebrating Vesak Day - this marks the birth, enlightenment and final nirvana of the Buddha, according to the Straits Times newspaper.
 We had a good time. It was so hot though.

Singapore 20.21hrs

We went to Sentosa in the afternoon.
Last time we visited Sentosa was in mid 1990s. It has been a long time and I was so happy to see Nicole enjoying it. This is a picture of Nicole at Sentosa, holding her hat from being blown away by the breeze.

Day 489 Singapore May 18, 2008 -16.13 hrs

We had a thanksgiving get together today. The Holy Trinity Sunday is an appropriate day to celebrate the love of our relatives and friends - they gave Nicole so much during these last 489 days.

Singapore May 11, 2008 - 21.16 hrs

After good rest we went for a walk at the Botanical garden - Nicole was in good spirit and walked with a very good pace.
We had a quiet dinner. The picture of the flowers that Greg, together with Bert and Nicolas, gave to Nicole.

Day 482 Singapore MAy 11, 2008 - 14.52 hrs

We are celebrating Mother's Day. Picture taken this morning.
Greg, together with his brothers, bought a dozen of beautiful pink coral color roses with accompanying small white flowers to give to Nicole.
The children surprised Nicole this morning by having a telephone conference call - Bert in New York, Nicolas in Minnesota and Greg in Singapore  with Nicole this morning to wish her a happy mother's day. The conference call lasted more than 30 minutes and it did not cost anything as Nicolas has a free telephone service.
We went to the 10.30 am mass at St Ignatius - Pentecost sunday. Christ sends the gift of the Holy SPirit to each one of us.
After mass, we went to have a lunch. Good food and Nicole enjoyed it very much. Greg gave her a card containing the kind wishes from Bert, Nicolas and Greg. Nicole was touched by it. I too was touched by this expression of deep affection by three children.
This is the second Mother's Day that we are spending together since Nicole was found with cancer.
We all thank God for giving us these lovely moments.
