Day 3 post chemo. Apart from finding food tasteless, Nicole is coping well.
Yesterday, Good Friday, we attended the Passion of Christ ceremony at St Ignatius church.
I was touched by the homely when the priest asked the worshipers to " live emotionally" the rituals of this ceremony. I could relate in my heart with the sufferings of Christ as I felt the challenges and suffering that we went through since Nicole has been found ill with cancer.
After the ceremony we had a quiet evening at home.
This morning we were quite busy with Nicole having to see the doctor. We had our usual morning walk first.
After the doctor's visit, both of us participated in a class of Pilates for beginners at the American club. Pilates is an exercise to strengthen the core muscles of the body in order to have proper posture thereby reducing back and neck pains. This is a first for Nicole. She has not been to the gym of the American club since she has been ill. See her being there rejoiced me as I see that she is starting to resume a "normal" life. We enjoyed the Pilates class.
We had a quiet afternoon and evening, looking forward to Easter.
We both wish all of you, who have been accompanying on us on this part of our life journey, a happy Easter. May the Risen Christ be with you and may you continue to receive His blessings.
Good night.
