We are in Mauritius on our way to New York via Paris. In fact we are leaving for Paris tomorrow and shall be arriving in New York on Nov 13.
Meanwhile our friend, Philippe, who was diagnosed with cancer, left us on Nov 8. He died peacefully with his faith in our Lord. Philippe gave us a lesson in living the now and letting go. He knew that he did not have a long time to be among us. He silently and peacefully detached himself from our material world and he was ready to meet his Creator.
Nicole will see Dr. Gonzalez for her medical follow-up. We shall get the results of the test of her hair sample. The cancer marker reading from the test done 3 months ago showed a reading of 24 lower by 3 points from the previous test. We are hoping that we shall see a lower reading again.
While here, I got news that my brother, Patrick, is suffering from kidney failure. He is now on dialysis, 3 times weekly.
On a more joyful note, we attended the wedding of one of Nicole's niece. What a joy to be able to share this family event. Nicole was so happy to meet many of the relatives and friends.
