Nicole had a mistletoe infusion today. However, her immune system reacted strongly producing rashes over her entire body. The doctor had to do another infusion to flush out the mistletoe. She thus spent her entire day in the infusion room. It is likely that Nicole is still under the effect of the bacteria infection she contracted since last Sunday. Dr Demuth is of opinion that Nicole's system is unable to get rid of all the toxins that are being produced as a result of the treatment. The immune system is destroying a lot of cancer cells and Nicole's system cannot get rid of them fast enough.
Dr Demuth is going to slow down the pace of the treatment and do some detox.
This is going to make our stay longer, maybe until May 30/31.
We take this latest development as a positive sign. We are encouraged to see many patients here who are showing signs of improvements. One patient has been treated here since 1997. She is back for a "servicing". Two patients have their their CA markers down by 40%. Nicole will have a blood test for the CA markers on Monday.
Dr Demuth is recommending a week end rest for Nicole.
