Day 380 Singapore Jan 29, 2008 -15.00 hrs

With Nicole getting weaker and weaker, we made the decision that she needs to have a blood transfusion. She has been reluctant to go through this as she is not comfortable with the idea of a transfusion, fear of the unknown and of pain.
She went to have a blood sample taken this morning. Tomorrow at 8.00 am she will be at the Gleneagles Hospital to have the 3 pints of blood. According to the nurse, it is going to be a 9 hrs long procedure.

We still have not been able to find a doctor who could do a procedure to stop the tumor from bleeding. This is the set back currently.

Nicole was still with fever, even when she has been off the pancreatic enzymes for 4 days. Dr Gonzalez has agreed that she will take 18 capsules instead of 20 at the next cycle of 20 days starting on Thursday Jan 31.

With her general weakness, Nicole's moral is down and this has a negative impact in her outlook. It is indeed and surely not easy for her.

We can only pray that God gives her the strength to continue in her efforts to control the growth of the tumor and spread of the cancer.

At times, I ask myself why does she has to endure these sufferings. This is one of the mysteries of life: human sufferings that has no answers.
