Spoke with Mom & Dad,
They seem to be in good spirits from their voice. It has been a long trying day for them both. Pascal was over helping them out. Thank-you so very much Pascal.
The experience was new and one of Mom's worst experiences. No one likes having several needles stuck in them, especially for five hours. In addition, the nurses set-up two IV stands which made mobility impossible.
Mom is keeping her spirits high though. She is looking at the positives: Dr. Wong prayed with them beforehand and next time Mom's going to try a different setup with more flexibility and comfort (with respect to the IV stands).
Dr. Wong briefed them of the side-effects and said that if they will occur, they will manifest themselves in the next two days.
They are turning in for tonight.
Let us pray that the chemo shrinks the tumours and that the side effects are kept to a minimum.
